Discovery Trails Early Learning Academy

Discovery Trails Early Learning Academy is located at 3925 Centennial Boulevard, Suite 150, between Garden of the Gods Road and West Fillmore Street.

Jennifer Baker is entering her twentieth year of teaching children under the age of five. She is Colorado State Director Certified, has Level Five Colorado State Early Childhood credentials and has a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood. Her passion for teaching early childhood education began when her children were small and she was seeking an appropriate early childhood experience for her two boys. She has taught at various preschools and private schools in the area and is the former director/teacher of the Early Childhood Program at the Renaissance Academy. In her spare time, she teaches undergraduate education courses at the University of Phoenix.

Peggy Priest moved to Colorado in 2001, with her husband and two children. She has a B.S. in Human Nutrition from California Polytechnic State University, and an Elementary Education teaching certificate for the state of California. She also holds a Level Four Preschool Directors License for the state of Colorado. During her career, she has taught fourth grade, third grade, kindergarten, pre-kindergarten and preschool. Preschool and pre-kindergarten education is her passion. Now that she has found out both how important, and what great fun early childhood education is she will never leave it! Locally, she has taught at the USAA Child Development Center, Temple Shalom Preschool, and The Renaissance Academy, all with preschool age children. During her free time Peggy can be found singing in a local choir, quilting, or being taken for a walk by her enormous dogs.
